Public Notes

Clinical Impression

Genomics shows two major finding clusters:

Increased vulnerability to toxins — solvents and burnt products in particular — due to up-regulated CYP1A2 plus deleted GSTM1 and NAT2 homozygous for slow acetylation.

General predisposition to cardiovascular disease due to variations in genes ACE, MTHFR and MTRR, and heterozygosity for ApoE4. Cholesterol is only a minor component of this cluster.

Treatments recommended

1. Avoid solvents, burnt products and, as far as possible all chemical toxins

2. Increase dietary intake of tomatoes, preferably cooked or made into sauce etc (and of other red and yellow veg and fruit).

Continue high intake of omega-3 oils (oily fish etc)

3. 3-month course of supplements:

Vitamin E Total E 1 capsule daily

Vitamin C C 1000 1 capsule twice daily

Alpha Lipoic Acid R+ Lipoic 1 capsule twice daily

Methylcobalamin 5000iu lozenges 1 daily

Methyl Folate 1 capsule daily
