The unique Harmill under frame pit vehicle has been developed by carefully studying the requirements of inspectors and maintainers over long periods.

By carrying out this study we have been able to design the most ergonomic solution to fit the needs of the operators and fulfil the employers responsibility for health and safety.

We have also taken very special care in the design of the equipment to ensure that it is always available for use and not subject to annoying frequent breakdowns.

Two options are available

Manual - operator self propels with feet or by pulling on handrails mounted on the pit sides

This may sound like hard work but in actual fact it is really easy to propel and once moving takes almost no effort to maintain speed.

Power - 24 volt battery power system with state of the art electronic throttle control and regenerative braking.

Rail mounted - runs on miniature rails which are designed to accept any of our rail mounted pit equipment including manipulators which can handle 800 kg. (larger loads can be accommodated on request). - Powered option 24 volt drive system, fully controllable with motorcycle style twist grip throttle.

• Maximum travel speed 6 km/hr (negotiable)
• Heavy duty DC motor incorporating electro-magnetic parking brake.
• Batteries will offer up to 4.8 hours operation before re-charge.
• On-board charger - simply connect 110 volt power supply to vehicle to charge. Can be left connected indefinitely.

• Cross travel using heavy duty precision linear ball bearings mounted on stainless steel shafts.

• Two "cross travel" brakes.
• Aluminium sectional tread plate decking secured with screws to allow easy access to lower components.
• One "long travel" parking brake on opposite end of vehicle to motor with integral brake.
• Durable fully reclining seat with seat belt and removable head rest.
• Seat turns full 360 degrees enabling operation in every direction. Also enables access at any angle to train.
• Seat mounted on heavy duty hydraulic jack enabling the operator to work at a height appropriate for the task.
• Tool and accessory tray. Double flanged wheels fully enclosed with foot guard.
• Double cushion bumpers both ends
• Operators can work safely and efficiently in comfort.
• Access to the work place is rapid and equipment can be carried on the vehicle
• This manually operated vehicle can be propelled by pushing with the feet or by hand using the handrails seen in the picture at head height.
• Seat fully reclines and removable head rest supports the head
• Back and neck injuries associated with working whilst crouching will be virtually eliminated.
• Vehicles can be supplied for any working situation, the robust construction means they can withstand harsh environments.
