This year Genie launched a new series of electric-drive rough terrain scissor lift which provides full height driving capabilities. The three AC electric scissor lifts in the range are a great cost-effective, zero emission powered access option and have the advantage of being able to cope with up to 35% gradients with their “full-time oscillating axle”.
This new AC drive system helps to increase stability and improve performance, especially when working on uneven ground. The extra stability also means that the scissor lift can be driven with the platform at full height, saving time when you have multiple areas to work on. The new motors are also up to 30% more energy efficient than previous DC types, with a regenerative braking system that partially recharges the batteries to maximise battery life. In addition, lift speed, acceleration and gradeability are all increased on these units.
The three new Genie scissor lift models are the GS™-2669 DC, GS™-3369 DC and GS™-4069 DC with working heights of between 9.9m and 14.2m.
